THE REILLY EXPRESS - Dizzy
Label: Luftwaffel Records
Genre: Punk'n'Roll
Wertung: 4 von 7

Not another Scandinavian band trying to follow in the footsteps of bands like "The Hives"... I thought at first. However, these four Norwegians don't wear suits, don't wear ties, their music is 100% their own, and it will kick-start the party. Now and then it's a lot better than the Swedes.
THE REILLY EXPRESS drops pop influence, chrome and glitter in favour of raw sound, and brilliantly succeeds in creating a certain garage flair. Some slightly druggy bridges break the grooves, and then the groove returns, pulling the listener along. That contrast gives interest and character to this rocking punk record.
The two songs 'It Pays Off' and 'Million $ Man' have clear hit potential and bring the record a good reception. On the other hand, there are to or three shitty 'fillers' on the record... never the less, well worth listening in to. (cj)
